How the Clio Manage + integration works

Connect to Clio Manage and have all your conversation logged in your Clio Manage account as communication logs.

If the caller isn't yet a client in your Clio account, we'll add them as a new client and log the call under communication.

Calls are added as communications to open matters (as long as the client only has one matter). If there are multiple matters associated with one client, the integration will send the information to the first one allowed.

Call details in the communications log include:

  • Call summary
  • Contact information (name, email, phone number)
  • Call duration/length as a time entry
  • Call recording and transcript link (if enabled on your account)
The call recording and transcript link only shows if that feature is enabled on your account. Call recording and transcription is an add-on service. View current pricing.

How to connect your account to Clio Manage

  1. To set up this integration, email us at, and we’ll send you the authorization link to associate your and Clio accounts.

    If you're also using Clio Grow and would like to segment callers by type, tell us which caller types below to send to which system: 
    • Existing client
    • Repeat caller
    • New lead
    • Attorney or court staff
    • Unknown
    • Other

      Note: If you don’t include how to route specific types of callers, all callers will go into Clio Manage by default.
  2. Once you click on the link, you’ll see a screen like this. Just click “allow access” to finish the setup. That’s it!

If you set up your Clio integration before March 2020, email us at for our upgraded integration which includes adding call notes to matters and logging call durations. We will need to resend your authorization link.
