How to have Smith.ai receptionists check for conflicts

Updated 2 weeks ago by Kelsey Johnson

Note: Conflict Checker is currently only available for Clio, Lawmatics, and Google Sheets. If you’d like us to build it for your CRM, please let us know (we are adding CRMs based on client requests).

We currently search all of your CRM contacts: current clients, previous clients, and leads. We can search for a first and last name or a business name, not a combination of both.

How to add Conflict Checker if you use Clio or Lawmatics

Here’s how to add Conflict Checker to your Smith.ai account if you use Clio Manage or Lawmatics.

  1. Set up the CRM integration. Already set up? Great, move on to step 2.
  2. Email support@smith.ai to ask for Conflict Checker.
    1. Include in this email instructions on using it. For example, if it’s a legal case let us know to ask for the adversary's name, and any related business entities to do a Conflict Check to see if you've ever represented anyone related to the case (we can refer leads with conflicts out if you like).
  3. In a day or so, we’ll email you back letting you know we’ve set up Conflict Checker for your account.

How to add Conflict Checker for Google Sheets

Here’s how to have us check for conflicts in a Google Sheet

  1. Create a simple Google Sheet with first names in column a, last names in column b, and business names in column c. Rows need to include either a first and last name or a business name, not both.
  2. Share your sheet with this email address: conflictcheck@smithai.iam.gserviceaccount.com
  3. Email support@smith.ai to ask for Conflict Checker.
    1. Include in this email instructions on using it. For example, if it’s a legal case let us know to ask for the adversary's name and any related business entities. Then we can do a Conflict Check against your Google Sheet.
  4. In a day or so, we’ll email you back letting you know we’ve set up Conflict Checker for your account.

Conflict Checker is an add-on to our phone receptionists plans, and will incur an added charge depending on your plan — starting at $10/month.
