How to send Smith.ai call summaries to Outreach.io

This article will walk you through how to send Smith.ai call summaries to Outreach.io.

Prerequisites

To use our Make integration to send call summaries from Smith.ai to Outreach.io, you will need

  • A Make Enterprise account
  • A Smith.ai account
  • Your Smith.ai API key
  • An Outreach.io account

How to send Smith.ai call summaries to Outreach.io

  1. From the Make dashboard, click Create a new scenario.
  2. Click the plus + sign. Search and select Smith.ai.
  3. Select the New Calls Trigger.
  4. Next, create a connection to Smith.ai.
    1. If you do not already have one, click the "Create a Connection" button. In this example, we've selected the "New Calls" trigger and are connecting to it. Continue to step 5.
    2. If you already have a connection, click the "Add" button. Continue to step 5.
    3. To create a connection, name your connection and paste your Smith.ai API key.
    4. Click Save.
  5. Next, you'll add another module to pull an Outreach list(we'll search this list in a later step).
    1. Hover next to the Smith.ai module already added and press the plus + sign to add another module.
    2. Search Outreach and select it from the list.
    3. Select List Prospects from the list of available actions and triggers.
    4. Connect your Outreach account to Make if you have not already done so. Then click OK.
  6. Next, you will filter the list by whatever field you want to search by.
    1. This example shows you how to search and filter by phone number.
  7. Next, you'll add a module to update the filtered contacts only.
    1. Hover next to the Smith.ai module already added and press the plus + sign to add another module.
    2. Select Outreach from the list.
    3. Select Update a Prospect from the list of available actions and triggers.
    4. Select your Connect and match the following fields:
      1. Prospect ID: Use the ID from List Prospects step in the Make scenario.
      2. Personal Note 1: Use the "Summary" field from the Watch New Calls step of the scenario. This is the call summary.
      3. (Optionally) You can also update any other information you'd like from Smith.ai calls.
  8. Turn your scenario on (or save it if it's already on).
