If you're a Talkroute customer, you'll need to set up call forwarding to for our receptionists to answer your calls.

Follow the directions from the Talkroute Help Center below to ensure your calls are being forwarded correctly:

  1. Login to your Talkroute account and find the settings section.
  2. Add your number by following these instructions on adding a forwarding phone number to a virtual phone number, menu option, or extension.
    IMPORTANT: You must uncheck "Enable Call Announcement & Talkroute Voicemail"
  3. Make sure to send the caller's caller ID to by following these instructions on changing the incoming caller ID. (Read more about why needs caller ID.)

How to set up for overflow answering on Talkroute

Using the sequential order configuration in Talkroute can allow your in-house staff the first opportunity to answer a call before that call is sent to This is often referred to as overflow answering.

Scheduled forwarding allows you to ring your phones based on a custom weekly schedule.
