Maddy Martin Updated by Maddy Martin

Problem:

Smith.ai needs your Caller ID, but it's turned off by default in Grasshopper. (You may be using this to know which calls being forwarded to your phone are currently coming from Grasshopper.)

Read why we need Caller ID here.

Solution:

Here's how to enable Caller ID in Grasshopper for inbound calls.

  1. Log in to your account, click on "Extensions," and then click on "Edit."
  2. Below your forwarding numbers, click on "Options."
  3. Under the drop-down menu for “When a call is forwarded to me, show the caller ID of,” and select “the caller.”
  4. Click Save. That's it!
