Connect CASEpeer to Smith.ai Using Zapier

Anyone can connect CASEpeer to Smith.ai through the use of Zapier, a third-party tool we recommend.

Our Zapier integration helps business owners save tons of time by automating processes that have previously been manual. Imagine sending every new lead to Smith.ai for an immediate follow-up call. This guide includes two different ways to connect CASEpeer and Smith.ai using Zapier. Use the links below to navigate to the section that fits your use case:

Create a new lead in CASEpeer after a Smith.ai call

If it's your first time building a Zap, review the basics of creating Zaps. You're not limited to a single action. Try using filters, formatting, and other advanced Zapier actions.
  1. Go to the CASEpeer + Smith.ai Zapier Integrations page.
  2. Choose New Call (Smith.ai) as the trigger and Create Lead (CASEpeer) as the action.
  3. Press the Connect these apps button.
    Note: If you are not logged into Zapier, you will be prompted to do so.
  4. Connect Smith.ai to your Zapier account by following the prompts. More information on connecting Smith.ai to Zapier can be found here. You'll need your API key from the prerequisites.
    1. (Optional) Add a filter to remove any calls labeled as existing clients.
  5. Connect CASEpeer to your Zapier account by following the prompts. More information on connecting CASEpeer to Zapier can be found here.
  6. Customize the New Lead action to meet your business needs.
  7. Test the Zap.
  8. Name your Zap. In the upper left, click Untitled Zap, and Enter a name for your Zap so you can easily identify it in your dashboard later.
  9. Publish the Zap.

That's it! Every new call Smith.ai takes on your behalf will be added to CASEpeer as a new lead.

Trigger a Smith.ai outbound call after a case status change in CASEpeer

Using Zapier, you can trigger a Smith.ai virtual receptionist to make an outbound call when a case status changes in CASEpeer.

If it's your first time building a Zap, review the basics of creating Zaps. You're not limited to a single action. Try using filters, formatting, and other advanced Zapier actions.
  1. Go to the CASEpeer + Smith.ai Zapier Integrations page.
  2. Choose the CASEpeer trigger Case Status Change and the Smith.ai action Call Someone (Virtual Receptionist).
  3. Click Connect these apps.
    Note: If you are not logged into Zapier, you will be prompted to do so.
  4. Connect CASEpeer to your Zapier account by following the prompts. More information on connecting CASEpeer to Zapier can be found here.
    1. Customize the Case Status Change trigger to fit your business needs.
  5. Connect Smith.ai to your Zapier account by following the prompts. More information on connecting Smith.ai to Zapier can be found here. You'll need your API key from the prerequisites.
  6. Customize the Call Someone (Virtual Receptionist) action to meet your business needs.
    1. We recommend adding the following customizations to the Smith.ai action:
      1. Include directions for what the Smith.ai virtual receptionist should do on the call. The receptionist will not use your regular call instructions and will use these instead. Be as detailed as possible.
      2. Include detailed instructions on what the virtual receptionist should do if the person doesn't answer in the "What if they don't answer?" field.
      3. Select your preferred callback time (default is immediate and 24/7).
  7. Test the Zap.
  8. Name your Zap. In the upper left, click Untitled Zap, and Enter a name for your Zap so you can easily identify it in your dashboard later.
  9. Publish the Zap.

    That's it! When a case status change meets the trigger criteria, a Smith.ai outbound call will be initiated. You can view all Smith.ai calls in your Smith.ai dashboard.
