How to sign up for Chat

Jessica Paxton Updated by Jessica Paxton

Getting started with Smith.ai chat is easy. The following step shows how to sign up and start your chat account.

  1. Go to the Chat pricing page to view available options.
  2. Find the plan that fits your needs and click on the Get started button.
Need a custom plan? No problem! Schedule a free consultation with our team.
  3. Start by filling out your general information, and click Get Started Now.
  4. Next, you'll create your account. Enter and confirm your password and click Sign Up. This information will be your username and password to log into the chat dashboard. If you already have an account, click "Log in" instead.
  5. Next, tell us about your business. This information will be customer-facing, so make sure to supply that information you'd like your chatbot to give to customers.
  6. In the third step, you will choose your plan. It will default to the plan you chose in the first step, but you can change it if needed.
  7. In the fourth step, you'll supply the URLs you'd like our AI engine to ingest.
Why is this important? Our AI ingests data from the website where the chat resides and can consider that information as part of its responses. That becomes incredibly powerful in providing coherent, accurate, and business- or product-specific responses — and delivered in a natural way.
  8. On the last step, you'll enter your payment details and hit the subscribe button.
  9. That's it! You now have an active chat account and can create your first playbook.
