Why does the app call my own number?

In order to hide your personal number and show your Keypad number as Caller ID, the app actually dials your Keypad number first before connecting to the intended recipient, which is why you will see your own number on the iPhone call screen (due to limitations Apple puts on third party dialer developers on iOS). If you check your Call History in Keypad, you should see the intended recipient if the call went through correctly.

Candidly, we apologize for blaming Apple for this, but the limitation is they will not allow a 3rd party dialer, so this is our only way around it. The same goes for Grasshopper and other dialers. RingCentral does not even register the call, since they are only using VOIP. We, like Grasshopper, use the cellular network for a better connection.

How did we do?
