How to Distinguish "Business" from "Personal" Calls Using Caller ID

Many small business owners use their personal cell phones to receive calls for both personal and business calls by having their business phone ring to their cell phone. The problem is, you likely answer the phone differently (and at different times, with different expectations) depending on whether it's for business or personal matters.

Now, with Keypad, you can identify business calls with one simple change in your account settings. Just opt to have incoming calls identified by your business number instead of the caller's Caller ID, and you'll always know when the call is business-related.

How to identify "business" calls ringing to your cell phone:

  1. Log in to your Keypad account at https://app.smith.ai/login/
  2. Go to your call routing page at https://app.smith.ai/keypad/call-routing
  3. Click on the gear icon next to the Keypad number.
  1. Choose your business number under Incoming Caller ID, and hit "Save".

That's it! Now your incoming business calls will show up on Caller ID as your own business number, so you will always know when an incoming call is business-related.
